DIY Mirrored Wall

Hi there! So I thought it was finally time to share one of my favorite DIY projects with you, my mirrored wall!! This can be done in any house and even in a dorm room! This will not leave any damage on your wall if you eventually decide to take it down!

             AFTER & BEFORE

Here is how to do it....

1. Find a boring wall in your house/ a small room that you want to appear larger

2. Measure the height of your wall and the area you plan to cover... I do not recommend trying to cut glass yourself so try to make the measurements exact

3.Go to your nearest dollar tree and buy the largest mirrors they have to fit your area and height( don't worry if they are ugly, the border comes right off) the mirrors should be around 11"x14" .... I used 15 so that was $15+tax

4. You will also need mirror tape, you can get it at Walmart or any hardware store. Make sure it is high quality tape as you don't want your mirrors to fall off the wall!!!! I spent $5

5. Carefully cut the tape into little squares and apply to each corner of the mirrors, DO NOT PEEL THE FRONT SIDE

6. Before taping mirror to wall, make a little mark on your wall exactly where you want it. Once you stick the mirror to the wall, you can not easily take it off.

7. Complete your mirror wall by precisely measuring and taping the mirrors to the wall. Be sure to apply pressure at each corner to ensure it is stuck

8. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to comment!!!

TOTAL COST: $20

                           Happy Crafting!!

How to Get Rid of Breakouts

Have acne? Random breakouts? Want that to stop?  Want to spend less than $50 for flawless skin?......

Mario Badescu has amazing products THAT ACTUALLY WORK!!  I started using these products about 3 months ago and I have not had a single breakout since. My skin is combination but a bit more oily. I no longer need to pack my face with makeup to hid embarrassing acne breakouts.

Here is a bit more info on these products:
  • VERY gentle on the skin
  • Extremely affordable compared to other brands
  •  For ALL skin types
  • High quality

Acne Facial Cleanser leaves your face feeling clean and refreshed but not over dry. . . it is only $15 for a high end brand that actually works

Rose Facial Spray I personally use this as a make up setting spray.. keeps my makeup on all day without feeling heavy or slimy. It is $7 and works better than any other expensive brand I have tried.

Special Healing Powder This looks a bit odd for being 'makeup' but I often use it to cover redness on my face. I put it on before my regular powder and it literally heals your skin during the day when you're out and about. It's basically like a facemask but in makeup form for only $12

Silver Powder This is an actual facemask (in powder form) that I use when I am feeling any sort of bumps that may be turning into a breakout. Its a powder, that you have to wet of on a little cotton pad and then rub on your face. It turns into a paste... feels a little weird at first but it is worth the result.

I have had success with EVERY product that I have tried from this brand. They have many other products to target different types of skin types.. these are what I personally use for my skin.

ALSO, buying from Nordstrom will be your cheapest option as they have free shipping all the time, even on small orders. Here is the Mario Badescu website, try to keep up with their sales for the best deals.

Marc Jacobs Must Haves for Less

I was recently in New York City visiting my aunt, @hausjojo . She took me to the most interesting Marc Jacobs store called BookMarc... it was amazing. It has tons of designer fashion books along with many Marc Jacobs accessories. These accessories were extremely unique as I have never seen them before in any retail store. Not only were they unique but, they were CHEAP for being the Marc Jacobs brand.

Get one of these unique latin rings or the iridescent silver keychain, along with many other colors here.

Total cost for these designer items was $19
               Ring: $4
               Keychain: $15

The rings may be sold out online, but check your nearest BookMarc for more.

Marc Jacobs also has sturdy tote bags that can easily fit multiple college books... which is a must have since most tote bags are flimsy and small. Prices can vary from $50-hundreds of dollars but I would recommend waiting for the holiday sales to snatch your stylish tote. Don't forget the matching coin purse to accompany your new bag & keychain.
